About Pepperstock Archers
Pepperstock Archers, established in 1984, continues to thrive and grow as a dynamic and welcoming archery club.

We are proudly affiliated with ArcheryGB (formerly the Grand National Archery Society - GNAS), the Bedfordshire County Archery Association (BCAA), and the Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS). With a diverse membership of 30-35 archers, including juniors, seniors, and both male and female participants, we foster a supportive environment for all.
We are always excited to welcome new members, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills. Our twice-yearly beginner's courses, held in Spring and Autumn, offer a comprehensive 5-week introduction to archery. Upon completing the course, we invite you to join our club and begin your journey with us. During your initial weeks, you'll have access to club equipment while receiving expert advice on selecting your own bow. For experienced archers new to the area or returning after a break, we’re more than happy to discuss membership options and help you settle in.
At Pepperstock Archers, we respect that not all members are interested in competing. For some, archery provides a welcome escape from the demands of daily life. For those who wish to compete, we offer a relaxed, supportive environment where you can develop your skills at your own pace. Our experienced coaches are always available to guide you, and our club competitions—many of which are handicap shoots—provide a fun, inclusive way to improve while having the opportunity to win trophies as your skills progress. Our approach to competition has led to great successes at both the county level and beyond.
In addition to our club activities, we run a variety of Have-a-Go events throughout the year in the Herts and South Beds area, including popular events like the Harpenden Carnival, the Harpenden Lions Highland Gathering, and Slip End Village Day. These events are a fantastic opportunity for newcomers to try archery and experience the sport first-hand. Our friendly instructors will guide you every step of the way, helping you hit the bullseye and hopefully walk away with a new passion for archery.
