Beginners course

Are you ready to discover the thrill of archery?

This is your perfect opportunity to develop your skills and join a dynamic, welcoming community of archers! Pepperstock Archers offers beginner courses every year, held both outdoors in the Spring at Slip End Playing Fields, Luton, and indoors in the Autumn at the Houghton Regis Leisure Centre, Houghton Regis.

Our comprehensive Beginners Course consists of five engaging sessions, each lasting an hour and a half, spread over five weeks on Monday evenings. Please note that sessions will not take place during bank holidays or school half-term breaks. To earn your certificate of completion, you’ll need to attend at least four of the five sessions.

The course fee is £60 for adults and £40 for juniors (ages 8-18), which includes insurance and the use of the club’s equipment for the full five-week duration.

Juniors must be accompanied by an adult throughout the course, and if they decide to continue, that adult must remain present for any future sessions.

Our training sessions cover essential skills like safety, technique, and form, and we’ll also guide you on how to progress further in the sport, including how to join the club and choose the right equipment. Plus, after completing the course, you’ll have the opportunity to become a member of Pepperstock Archers and continue your archery journey!

For year-round practice, join us for club evenings on Wednesdays from May to September at Slip End Playing Fields, and additional shooting sessions are available on evenings and weekends. In the winter months, we shoot indoors at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre on Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the world of archery – come and discover the joy of hitting the mark with Pepperstock Archers!
